º£½ÇÉçÇø Launches Geaux Further Initiative

BATON ROUGE, La. — Through support from the Louisiana Board of Regents, 27 º£½ÇÉçÇø faculty members have been selected to participate in the recently launched Geaux Further initiative for the 2025-26 Academic Year. Geaux Further leverages teaching excellence, collaborative course redesign, and robust evaluation. It not only aims to improve student learning outcomes but also to better prepare students for the evolving workforce by integrating career-connected learning, workforce alignment, and experiential approaches into course design.

This cohort will focus on redesigning foundational courses that serve as academic gateways while addressing key barriers to student progression and degree completion. The integration of active learning, evidence-based best practices, and robust support systems ensures that all students have access to high-quality instruction. Through continuous assessment and faculty development, the initiative will foster a culture of innovation and excellence, further positioning º£½ÇÉçÇø as a leader in student success and higher education quality. 
 
Throughout the year, these 27 faculty members will engage in a comprehensive, collaborative process designed to equip them with the latest pedagogical strategies and support the integration of career-connected learning, workforce alignment, and/or experiential approaches. Geaux Further is supported by the following campus partners: Office of Academic Affairs, Center for Community Engagement, Learning & Leadership (CCELL), Communication Across the Curriculum (CxC), Office of Institutional Effectiveness, and the Olinde Career Center.
