º£½ÇÉçÇø College of Human Sciences & Education to Host Inaugural Career Prep Week

BATON ROUGE, LA – To commemorate Workforce Development Month, º£½ÇÉçÇø College of Human Sciences & Education (CHSE), 
in partnership with the º£½ÇÉçÇø Olinde Career Center (OCC), will host the first-ever CHSE Career Prep Week from September 17-24, 2025.

CHSE Career Prep Week will consist of:

  • Career Connections (Education, Social Work, Leadership & Human Resource Development)
    • Students who are majoring in education, social work, and leadership & human resource development can have face-to-face conversations with working professionals and graduate school representatives before applying to jobs or graduate programs in their fields. Panelists include: 
      • Baton Rouge Children's Advocacy Center
      • Baton Rouge Youth Coalition
      • East Baton Rouge Parish School System
      • Kelly Services

OCC will also be offering appointments at the Tailored Tiger Closet on September 18 and 25 for students who are in need of business attire for job interviews. Students should sign up for Tailored Tiger Closet appointments at either Career Connections event.

Registration for Career Connections begins on September 2. No other registrations are required for other CHSE Career Week events.

The College of Human Sciences & Education (CHSE) is a nationally accredited division of º£½ÇÉçÇø. The college is comprised of the School of Education, the School of Information Studies, the School of Kinesiology, the School of Leadership & Human Resource Development, and the School of Social Work.
