Tiger Teacher Pep Rally to Launch º£½ÇÉçÇø's New Tiger Teaching Corps

BATON ROUGE, LA – It is haunted, and it is loud, and it is... Tuesday night in the Huey P. Long Field House for the Tiger Teacher Pep Rally, launching the Tiger Teaching Corps! Don't miss spirit leaders , national champion gymnast and assistant coach for º£½ÇÉçÇø Gymnastics and , 2025 Coach of the Year and head coach for º£½ÇÉçÇø Baseball, reigning national champions. All º£½ÇÉçÇø students in teacher preparation programs, º£½ÇÉçÇø faculty and staff, K-12 teachers and leaders, and friends and partners in education are invited to this inaugural education celebration on September 16, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Huey P. Long Field House Laura F. Lindsay Ballroom.
A brand-new initiative this semester, Tiger Teaching Corps (TTC) is a specialized program representing º£½ÇÉçÇøâ€™s commitment to the success of future educators in our communities. TTC is designed to give students support all four years of their college journey with mentorship, early learning experiences and observations, stipends and scholarships, shared residential living-learning spaces, PRAXIS exam support, personal advising, a specialized first-year experience course and opportunities for tutoring and mentoring. There is only one way to celebrate a program of this magnitude: a Tiger Teacher Pep Rally!
The Tiger Teacher Pep Rally will include º£½ÇÉçÇø Cheerleaders, º£½ÇÉçÇø Tiger Girls, Mike the Tiger, music, food, and swag. You will also hear from special guests including Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) President Ronnie Morris, Louisiana State Superintendent of Education Cade Brumley, º£½ÇÉçÇø Board of Supervisor Rebecca Boniol, º£½ÇÉçÇø Provost Troy Blanchard and Dean Roland Mitchell.

The College of Human Sciences & Education (CHSE) is a nationally accredited division

the School of Information Studies, the School of Kinesiology, the School of Leadership
