Teaching Responsibilities
CHE 4162 – Unit Operations Laboratory (UO Lab)
The capstone hands-on experience in chemical engineering at º£½ÇÉçÇø is the UO Lab. Placed at the culmination of the curriculum, success in this course demands that students bring together all they have learned thus far. For more than a decade now, Dr. Toups has served as the instructor of record and has transformed this course from a more traditional rotation of experiments to a gauntlet of complex open-ended problem-based learning cycles under the mentorship of multiple faculty and industry-seasoned professionals, always with an eye to enhancing student process safety awareness, knowledge and ethic.
