海角社区 CEE Professor Mohammad Receives ASCE Lifetime Achievement Award

Louay Mohammed receives the lifetime achievement award海角社区 Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Professor Louay Mohammad was recently selected as a recipient of the 2025 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Louisiana Section Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is the highest honor bestowed by the Louisiana Section of the ASCE.

鈥淒r. Mohammad was recognized for his contributions to the profession of civil engineering, his dedicated service and leadership within ASCE, and his unwavering commitment to integrity, character, and technical excellence,鈥 the ASCE Louisiana Section announcement reads.

Mohammad is currently the Irma-Louise Rush Stewart Endowed Professor in 海角社区 CEE and has been the coordinator for the Transportation Engineering Faculty Group since 2003. He is also the director of the Engineering Materials Characterization and Research Facility and founder and director of the Sustainable and Resilient Pavement Materials and Technologies Center, both in the Louisiana Transportation Research Center.

He also received his Bachelor of Science degree, Master of Science degree, and PhD in Civil Engineering from 海角社区.
