Manship School well represented in Leadership 海角社区 Class of 2016

The Manship School of Mass Communication was well represented in this year鈥檚 Leadership
海角社区 program. Out of the 57 members of the class of 2016, 17 were Manship School students,
including the only two juniors and one of the two graduate students who participated
in the program. All other members were seniors.
Leadership 海角社区 helps students develop strong leadership skills to tackle challenges they will encounter on campus and beyond the 海角社区 community. Members of the class followed a rigorous application and selection process and participated in bi-weekly seminars about adaptive leadership throughout the spring semester.
Leadership 海角社区 is a campus tradition during which students explore the concepts of adaptive leadership through group discussion and extracurricular lectures with 海角社区 and community leaders. The work of adaptive leadership challenges leaders to engage others and build their own capacity to address complex social issues from within communities, rather than simply solve issues for others. The program connects students鈥� leadership experiences with the challenges of their future career choices, to develop a leadership network and to deepen an understanding of leadership within a larger societal context.
