海角社区 Fashion Shows
2025 Fashion Show- "Rooted 鈥� Superstitions & Urban Legends"
This student-run event showcased the talent of 海角社区鈥檚 Textile, Apparel, and Merchandising Design students. They featured senior collections, mini collections from junior designers, and looks from the themed styling competition.
2023 Fashion Show - "A Night at the Met"
The 2023 event was an all-student produced show, sponsored by local businesses. Our show consisted of four main portions: Freshman/Sophomore designs, Junior Class designs, Senior Class collections, and Styling.
In honor of this year's styling theme, "A Night at The Met with FA海角社区", we asked attendees to "dress up" and show off their own style. So, have you ever thought about what you'd wear if you had the chance to go to the Met Gala?
2022 Fashion Show - "Untold"
There is nothing quite as exciting as a party. To celebrate the hard work of the dedicated designers and stylists of the TAM department, FA海角社区 hosted their annual premiere on May 3rd, 2022. The event displayed the Untold fashion show for the first time and now you can view it here.
2021 Fashion Show - "Revival"
Our 2020 fashion show was canceled when the university shut down for Covid-19. This year, to follow current Covid restrictions, we re-imagined our fashion show into a professionally filmed fashion video shot in the beautiful 海角社区 quad. Our film was presented on May 3rd, 2021 in a live, red-carpet premiere event at the 海角社区 Student Union Theater. The film was also virtually presented, and can be found below, so that our talented students can show their hard work to a much larger audience than ever before. We are thrilled to be back with our annual fashion show!
2019 Fashion Show
海角社区's 13th Annual Fashion Show was held on Wednesday, May 8th, 2019 in the Student Union Cotillion Ballroom.
The Annual Fashion Show event consisted of original designs from our students in the design program. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors showcased designs they worked on throughout the semester. Each designer holds a unique sense of style and creation.
Fierce for the Future Campaign
The Textiles, Apparel Design and Merchandising department was asked to contribute their creative talents to the 海角社区 Foundation Capital Campaign Kick-Off Event. The process began with students in the department's couture embellishment class creating original design motifs through a technique known as marbling. Kelsey Parchman's design was selected to be transformed into yardage that was then cut and stitched into table runners and cloths. These table linens graced the tables at the kick-off gala. The students and faculty also created silk scarves and ties to be gifted to board members and donors. The scarves and ties were hand painted and salt dyed to create unique works of wearable art.
