Research Statement

Material culture and archival materials inform my exploration of fashion and textiles as historical and cultural phenomena. My primary interests include twentieth-century American fashion and textiles, woman designers, Queer fashion, and Acadian textile traditions. Objects are central to my analysis of the fashioned body across time as a historian, curator, and designer. I disseminate knowledge through publication, curatorial practice, and applied design scholarship.
