Biography

James L. Murphy serves as the Provost鈥檚 Fellow for Academic Initiatives, Professor and Head of the MFA Technology and Design programs. He also serves as the Production Manager and Technical Director for Swine Palace and the 海角社区 School of Theatre. Primary teaching areas are scenery engineering and construction as well as production and stage management. His design credits include Set Design for The Book of Will, Swine Palace鈥檚 premiere of Craters, Lighting Design for Airness; Set Design for Our Town; Lighting Design and Production Manager for Dream Logos and Origin, performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; Sound Design for All My Sons; Lighting Design for world premiere of Leigh Fondakowski鈥檚 Spill ; Set Design for world premiere of Ping Chong鈥檚 and Vince LiCata鈥檚, Cocktail.
