BATON ROUGE - Each spring, the College of Science honors the achievements of its students, faculty, and staff at the Dean Arthur R. Choppin Honors Ceremony.

Dr. Arthur R. Choppin, a 1918 海角社区 graduate in chemistry and botany, served as dean from 1944 to 1968. His legacy lives on through his dedication to research and science education at 海角社区.

Now in its 48th year, the ceremony is made possible by generous support through the 海角社区 Foundation and the Louisiana Department of the American Legion scholarship fund.
