BATON ROUGE 鈥� 海角社区 cybersecurity professor Ibrahim 鈥淎be鈥� Baggili is among an elite group of individuals selected by the Military Cyber Professionals Association to receive the prestigious Order of Thor medal this year. The medal is in recognition of Baggili鈥檚 meaningful and enduring contributions to the U.S. military cyber community.

鈥淒r. Baggili has directly supported American military cyber professionals for years, including close collaboration with the Military Cyber Professionals Association on cyber operations research. This community is appreciative of his impactful work and is taking this opportunity to recognize him.鈥�

Baggili will receive this honor on May 18 at the association鈥檚 national convention in Maryland, which is not far from the headquarters of U.S. Cyber Command. Baggili will also be presenting at the convention, known as , alongside numerous notable scholars and leaders in the broader military cyber community of interest.

The Order of Thor medal has been presented to cyber professionals since 2013. The majority of recipients are members of the U.S. military. Baggili is among an elite group of non-government civilians to receive this honor. More information about Baggili鈥檚 research can be found here: .
