To help address the challenge of math inequity, East Baton Rouge Parish School System, or EBRPSS, has been awarded a $3.5 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help Black and Latino students and all students experiencing poverty to graduate from high school skilled in the math required to be successful in higher education, the workforce and life. Louisiana Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory Now Performing Monkeypox Virus Testing

Effective Oct. 4, the Louisiana Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory, or LADDL, at the 海角社区 School of Veterinary Medicine began testing for monkeypox virus for the 海角社区 Student Health Center. In 2021, LADDL, an accredited veterinary diagnostic laboratory, acquired CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) certification for the testing of human samples for COVID-19 and now monkeypox virus.
