Campus To Remain Closed Thursday; Courses Will Continue; Academic Calendar Updates
January 22, 2025
海角社区鈥檚 physical campus will remain closed on Thursday, Jan. 23, and the Academic Continuity Plan continues to be in effect. Classes will continue in a format determined by each instructor, and students should check email and Moodle for directions.
The continued closure will again impact our academic calendar. Revised dates are below.
The Vet School will communicate separately with its students and staff, and students enrolled in fully online programs through 海角社区 Online should proceed with coursework as usual. The University Laboratory School and the 海角社区 Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool will also be closed Thursday.
Please continue to stay off the roads, use caution when walking outside in snow and ice, and dress in layers to provide insulation and trap heat. Wear a hat, gloves, and a scarf to protect your extremities from the cold.
Students should check and social media for updates on meals, and the 海角社区 Parking & Transportation Services website and social media for information on bus service.
Essential employees should check with their supervisors about whether they should report to campus on Thursday. Non-essential employees should not come to campus while it鈥檚 closed, and non-essential staff are not required to work remotely during the closure.
The continued closure will again impact our academic calendar:
Friday, Jan. 24 will now be the final date to receive a 90% refund of University fees.
Monday, Jan. 27 will now be the final date to drop without a grade of 鈥淲鈥; deadline is 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 28 will now be the final date to add classes; deadline is 4:30 p.m.
Continue to reference the registration calendar for any additional updates.
These calendar changes do not apply to the Law Center or the Vet School, which operate on separate academic calendars. Those entities will contact their students directly about any academic calendar changes. These changes also do not apply to 海角社区 Online programs.
Thank you for your continued cooperation, and please stay safe!
