海角社区 Health New Orleans and 海角社区鈥檚 Pennington Biomedical Research Center recently partnered to leverage new technologies, including artificial intelligence, or AI, in the fight against diet-related disease and health disparities in Louisiana.

鈥淲e know what the best proposed diets are at the population level, but not yet on the individual level,鈥 said Eric Ravussin, 海角社区 Boyd Professor at Pennington Biomedical Research Center. 鈥淲e鈥檙e now at a point where we can take advantage of new technology, such as artificial intelligence, to uncover individual differences and make better predictions for how a change in diet can impact a person鈥檚 health.鈥

With eight institutions spanning Louisiana and all levels of higher education and research, 海角社区 facilitates and promotes interdisciplinary research to meet the challenge of improving the state鈥檚 health outcomes head-on.
