J.C. Miller
Assistant Director, Outdoor Recreation

I do this work because I am passionate about the benefits that university recreation
can provide not only to the students that participate in the programs that we offer,
but also the students who work for the department as well. Having the opportunity
to mentor students and build lifelong professional skills through the lens of sports
is a dream come true for me.

Life's a canvas
My favorite hobby is painting, most people hear this and assume that I鈥檓 kidding, but most of my wall space at home is taken up by art projects that I鈥檝e done in the past.
Can't stop watching
My favorite shows are "Game of Thrones," "Breaking Bad," and "Stranger Things."
Advice I don't leave home without
鈥淚f you鈥檝e got a good dog, and I mean a really good dog, you don鈥檛 have to go around telling people about how great your dog is, they鈥檒l be able to see it for themselves.鈥 -John Riggle, my Poppaw, who trained Hunting and Field Retrieving Champions as a career and is the best man I know
