Nikolaos (Nikos) holds a PhD in Finance from Virginia Tech and three master's degrees
in the areas of Finance, Economics and Mathematics. Before joining 海角社区, he taught
at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Virginia Tech and Tulane University.
His research, which spans through the fields of financial intermediation, household
finance, public finance and asset pricing, has been published in premier finance and
economics journals, including the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Review of Financial
Studies and the Journal of Financial Intermediation.
Nikos has received awards, honors and grants for his teaching and research activity,
including the 2013 WRDS-Wharton Best Empirical Paper in Finance Award at the WFA meeting.
His research has been featured extensively on the U.S. and international financial
press like The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Economist, among others.
