海角社区 Health Shreveport Unveils $79M Center for Medical Education
海角社区 Health Shreveport unveiled its transformative new Center for Medical Education on Dec. 11, 2023. The $79 million structure is designed to enhance the educational experience and interdisciplinary collaboration for students and faculty. Constructed in part to support the advancement of medical education in North Louisiana, the new facility aligns perfectly with the biomedical priority of 海角社区's Scholarship First Agenda.
NIH Grant to Help 海角社区 Researchers Fight Youth Obesity Using Virtual and Real-Life Tools
海角社区 Kinesiology Professor Senlin Chen, PhD, and his team are developing a novel obesity prevention program to use in Louisiana schools, combining such tactics as virtual pets and coaches with the best science to encourage healthy behaviors. Funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health, Chen鈥檚 ProudMe intervention integrates daily experiences in virtual and real life to influence behaviors, followed by an assessment of outcomes.
