HOW CREDITS TRANSFER TO 海角社区

TRANSFER CREDIT ELIGIBILITY

海角社区 accepts all college-level, academic coursework from regionally-accredited institutions, as well as international coursework from institutions recognized by that country鈥檚 Ministry of Education. Transfer of credit is not guaranteed from accredited or unaccredited for-profit institutions.

Students may not receive credit for work taken concurrently at another college or university without prior written approval from their academic dean.

Credit allowed by Undergraduate Admissions is, in all cases, subject to review by a student鈥檚 senior college, regarding if credit will apply to a particular degree. Some senior colleges have specific rules for transfer grades and will only accept a 鈥淐鈥 or better for required courses, or some will only accept a particular GPA in courses applied to a major.

It is recommended that students carefully review senior college requirements and consult with their prospective senior college if they have specific questions about a particular program or degree.

The Tiger Transfer Tables reflect courses that have previously been evaluated by faculty at 海角社区 for transfer equivalency. It is intended as a resource for students, but it is not a comprehensive list of all colleges or transferable courses.

For all in-state two and four year public institutions, 海角社区 participates in the , which is a crosswalk of how freshman and sophomore level courses transfer amongst the state.

The is an easy transfer for students from a 2-year community college to a Louisiana 4-year public university. Courses are prescribed in the curricula to earn an Associate of Arts/Louisiana Transfer Degree or an Associate of Science/Louisiana Transfer Degree.

If these degrees are earned and a minimum grade of 鈥淐鈥 is achieved in each course, then all 60 hours of course work will transfer to a Louisiana public 4-year university. Students must also meet 海角社区鈥檚 transfer admission requirements to be admitted.

Veterans and service members are eligible for one credit hour for every four months of active duty, with a maximum of 12 credit hours for four years of active duty. Military transcripts are evaluated for each applicant, and additional credit may be awarded. This credit will be awarded on a case-by-case basis for lower-level courses. All upper-level courses are accepted, excluding duplicates.
